I am the founder of Nomadic Coffee. I started Nomadic 9 years ago as an art project. Nomadic had a pushcart at the center of its business; I roasted beans, put a poem from local poets in every bag, and used a pushcart to deliver to stores. (We are now in 150 stores and cafes throughout California.) The pushcart is a kid stroller frame topped with a wooden box made from recycled redwood. As part of the Nomadic project, I went for walks, unfolded the cart to a table, served coffee, and made a podcast of the conversations along my walks. While Nomadic continues to grow, I see the opportunity for a separate pushcart business. A luxury mobile home pushcart powered by foot. (Electric options to follow.) I’ve been waiting to secure investors until I located the right design/prototype firm. After a long process, in August of 2021 I found the perfect fit.
